Capital Smart City
Islamabad has another mega project in the making. It is backed by Habib Rafiq limited in Pakistan. It is going to be the first ever smart city of Pakistan. This project is located on M2 Motorway and near New Islamabad International Airport. Smart City will set itself as a landmark for future developments. The total area of this project is approximately 45000 Kanals. On the other hand, Ample area is reserved for the sake of future extensions.
Basically the site is located at mountainous and hilly region. The major challenge was leveling the ground. Heavy Machinery namely Excavators, Backhoe, Bulldozers, Skid-Steer Loaders and many others worked day and night to cut off the hills. Leveling of ground was necessary for further developments. The development work at Capital Smart City is successfully going on at a speedy pace.
In the short period of 4 months, majority of the land has been grounded. On November 18, 2018, additional 1725 Kanal has added in to the main area. In December 2018 a network of trails were cleared for the building of roads. Water reservoir are available in huge amounts were discovered on the site. Four operational tube wells have been built at present to manage further water needs.
The carpeting of main road is already completed in January, 2019. For now, the working on Main Boulevard has begun. Committed team of workers and architects are working dedicatedly.
Furthermore, Harradine Golf, International Golf Builder, is building a Golf and Country Club at Capital Smart City. Peter Harradine, Golf Club Architect is excited to work at this project.

On January 22, 2019, Potohar Ranches Master Planners and Architects personally visited the site. Rawan Husseini, Senior Associate Planning & Urban Development, said that she wanted to visit site personally to know more options regarding the master planner.
