The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has called upon the Cyber Crime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to initiate measures against illegal housing projects, according to the news published in the newspaper on October 30. Additionally, they’ve also asked celebrities to check if housing projects are legal before supporting them.

The RDA wants to stress that unauthorized housing projects are tricking people with misleading ads. It also and support from famous figures in the entertainment and sports industries. Some of these popular individuals are promoting these illegal housing projects, which leads others to invest in them.
They’re also warning the public not to invest in these illegal housing projects and high-rise buildings. They’re advising investors to make sure that the relevant authorities have issued the necessary permits for these developments.

According to reports, the RDA’s Metropolitan Planning & Traffic Engineering Directorate is taking action against illegal housing projects in Rawalpindi District, following the laws of the RDA PDC Act in 1976 and under the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules of 2021.
