According to the sources, Shahrjeel Inam Memon, the Sindh Transport Minister, recently presided over a meeting to review the plans for the construction work and purchase buses for Karachi’s Yellow Line BRT project.
Officials from the Sindh Transport and Mass Transit Department attended the conference.
The transport department gave the go-ahead by the Sindh minister to complete the BRT project’s work.
Moreover, he focused to increase the scope of the project by extending buses for the future bus line.

Memon also gave orders to commence the bus procurement procedure for the bus rapid project.
Yellow Line BRT
The bus covers a distance of 21 kilometers from Dawood Chowrangi to Numaish Chowrangi.
The project will cost $438.9 million in total, of which the World Bank will provide $381.9 million and the Sindh government $19.5 million.
