The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has unveiled intentions to shift its Lahore offices to solar power to address the escalating electricity expenses, as reported in a news published on 5 November.

In a Saturday meeting, WASA Managing Director (MD) Ghufran Ahmad underscored the pressing requirement for transitioning to solar energy. As a means to relieve the financial burden arising from excessively high electricity expenses.

MD Ahmad of Water and Sanitation Agency stressed the importance of promptly implementing solar power across all office locations, including the head office, directors’ offices, executive engineers’ offices, and SDOs. He directed the responsible officers to present a feasible proposal within the coming days.
