FBR to take strict action against non-filers in order to increase tax collection

According to a news report from November 14th, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) plans to use a comprehensive strategy that involves sending notices to non-filers along with implementing extra administrative actions.

As per the details provided, insiders from the FBR have disclosed an ambitious strategy. This strategy aims to bring in one million individuals under the tax system in the initial phase. Following this, there will be concentrated endeavors to increase this number to 1.5 million individuals by 2024, with a broader objective of incorporating 6.5 million taxpayers by June 30, 2024.
