Anyone can complain about a tax violation using the FBR digital platform. Citizens can also file complaints on the Tax Asaan Mobile Application or through the FBR’s website.

Federal Board of Revenue will confirm the violation, and if confirmed, the whistleblower will be rewarded with a cash prize depending on the amount recovered from the violator. The complaining process is very easy. Citizens can submit details such as retailer name, shop location, and violation specifics.

FBR Chairman Mr Amir Ahmed stated, “With the support of responsible citizens, we aim to crack down on tax violators who exploit loopholes in the system. This reward initiative will catalyze more robust tax collection and increased accountability in the retail sector.”

The incentive program’s success will depend on how efficiently Federal Board of Revenue hides the whistleblower’s identity and on fair reward distribution.
