ISLAMABAD: Chairman CDA Visited ICCI to Discuss City Development

Noor Ul Amin Mengal, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), came to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to facilitate trade and offer amenities to the business community. To represent the business community interests, the news release stated that the ICCI present will also invite to join CDA Board.

High-ranking officials including CDA Member Finance Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah, Member Engineering Syed Munawar Shah, Member Planning & Design Waseem Hayat Bajwa, Member State Muhammad Afnan Alam Khan, Member Environment Captain (r) Anwar ul Haque, Member Inspection Riaz Randhawa, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, and others were present at the meeting.

Mengal set private sector facilitation as one of his main goals. The CDA is implementing a number of business-friendly initiatives to improve the experience for the business community. Moreover, Mengal gave the necessary authorities the task of finding an appropriate site for an expo center.

To assist the private sector, the CDA has also begun improving a number of properties that fall within its authority. In addition to the four additional parking plazas, six new parking lots are now being built.

Additionally, the CDA is upgrading all city centers and adding six new weekly bazaars to Islamabad. Sewer lines, road carpeting, streetlight installation, and new tile installation are all part of the upgrading project.
