Islamabad, November 7, 2024: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and a Chinese delegation at CDA headquarters met to revise and update the Islamabad master plan. Both parties want to incorporate eco-friendly practices into the Capital’s growth strategy to promote sustainable urban development.

CDA to Update the Islamabad Master Plan
The Chairman CDA, Mr Mohammad Ali Randhawa, is enthusiastic about the opportunity. The authority is trying to benefit from China’s advanced expertise. Most likely in areas like carbon reduction techniques, green infrastructure, and environmental management.
Both parties also discussed investment opportunities in Islamabad’s infrastructure sectors and urban planning. Moreover, the chairman of CDA encouraged Chinese businesses to participate in the Capital’s development efforts. CDA embraces foreign partnerships as long as they are beneficial for the region’s long-term development.
