Rs.24 Billion Approved for Up-Gradation of Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The government of Punjab took a great initiative to upgrade Rawalpindi City through different Up-Gradation projects.

Punjab Government has approved Rs.24 Billion in the upcoming Provincial Budget. Different mega projects are will be constructed in Rawalpindi. Rs.16 Billion will be used for Rawalpindi City. While Rs.8 Billion will be used for different projects in Murree.

Following Projects are included in the Up-Gradation Program:

  • Rawalpindi Ring Road
  • Daducha Dam
  • Kohsar University

According to the resources Rawalpindi Ring Road will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, Rawalpindi Ring Road will be constructed from G.T Road Radio Pakistan to Thalian Interchange on Motorway.

Furthermore, the Government has dedicated Rs.05 Billion for the construction of Daducha Dam.
