PIA to launch Lahore to Istanbul Flights

Lahore: Pakistan International Airlines has launched conducting flights to Istanbul. On Tuesday, the first flight departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The airline will now fly six times a week from Pakistan to Istanbul. Pakistani citizens will be able to use the PIA-Turkish Airlines code to book flights to 28 cities in Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

On the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Turkey this year, PIA decides to schedule flights to Istanbul. Khawaja Saad Rafique, the aviation minister, along with  Amir Hayat, the chief executive officer attended the ceremony. Khawaja Saad Rafique stated that Pakistan and Turkey share good relations. In this way, the airline operation will enhance positive interactions even more. He said that PIA is working to enhance its services and widen its network for the convenience of its clients.

4 flights from Islamabad and 2 flights from Lahore are going to conduct by PIA.  At the flight, CEO PIA was welcomed by the CEO of Turkish Airlines Bilal Uksi, and other representatives of Istanbul with a water gun salute.
