Capital Development Authority (CDA) is likely to approve the development of an Economic Zone near Rawat area of Rawalpindi District. The Board of Investment (BOI) and Special Economic Zone Authority intend to establish an economic zone in Rawalpindi (SEZA).
Moreover, to stimulate the local economy and enterprises close to the Rawat neighborhood of Rawalpindi City, two significant governing bodies of Pakistan are planning construction Plans for an Economic Zone near Rawat-Capital Development Authority.
Construction of a functional business center
The Board of Investment (BOI) and Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZA) have developed a plan for the construction of a fully functional business center.
Furthermore, the Capital Development Authority would thereafter receive an application for a No Objection Certificate (NOC).The purpose of NOC to purchase property for the development of a fully functional business center (CDA).
Also , there will be a meeting between the representatives of CDA, BOI, and SEZA at the CDA headquarters.
Additionally, the Capital Development Authority’s planning section has already produced a thorough outline of the project (CDA). Further, according to BOI and SEZA, there is need of a particular amount of land to establish an economic zone
ICT Model Special Economic Zone
“ICT Model Special Economic Zone” will be the name of this economic zone. Additionally, the CDA has previously designated 1,000 acres of property close to the Rawat region. Moreover, to allot this land for this mega economic zone in Rawalpindi, BOI and SEZA have now contacted CDA.

Rawat Industrial Estate
A large project dubbed the Rawat Industrial Estate is also being built. This economic zone at Rawat will be a component of Zone 5 close to the Rawalpindi District.
Additionally, it stated that the SEZA had approved the concept plan in March 2022 and that the PC-I had received approval from the Central Development Working Party for the feasibility study and land purchase. As a result, the SEZA had been in touch with CDA over the NOC problem.
