The President calls on businessmen to create jobs for the disabled

Dr. Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan, has urged the corporate community and private groups to offer possibilities for the disabled.
“The government cannot do it all alone,” stated President Dr. Arif Alvi, “. The private sector should step up in this area, he added.

He stated that society required inclusivity and acceptance. Also, people with disabilities should have easier access to technology and enhanced accessibility to public spaces by creating favorable conditions.
He encouraged all federal and provincial government stakeholders to use technology to increase work prospects for people with disabilities.

He emphasized the importance of providing PWDs with high-quality, education and skills that “maximize their abilities, and make them economically and financially empowered.”  Moreover, enabling conditions for their participation as equals in political, social, economic, and cultural mainstreams.
