RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi plans to implement an e-registration system for land records

In accordance with the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA), the district administration of Rawalpindi, Pakistan, has declared that it will shortly establish an e-registration system for land records.

According to Mr. Cheema, “A web portal for e-registration has been launched. It will eliminate the need for middlemen and instances of counterfeiting.” The e-registration system will also build with contemporary technology and software updates. It will connect to NADRA, a land record management system, and an e-stamp system.

By enabling residents to execute all revenue-related duties online rather than visiting revenue offices and stamp merchants. The project also aims to lower fraud and corruption in real estate transactions.

The minister added that instead of standing in long lines, the date and time of the appointment will set by the system. The citizens will receive a message about their appointment on their mobile phones.

He claimed that this initiative is a revolutionary step that will put an end to public visits to revenue offices.
