ISLAMABAD: PBS extends the deadline for completing the first digital census.

As per the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has extended the deadline for the door-to-door housing and population census to guarantee the full inclusion of the masses. The revised due date is April 10th.

If the field enumerators have not yet visited their homes, members of the public should call 0800-57574 or provide their complete address on 9727. PBS establish 495 Census Support Centers to assist the residents. These centers have been created in Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Islamabad deputy commissioner offices. These centers in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lie in deputy commissioners’ offices.

Digital Census Procedure

The Digital Census activity is covering an entire country, in 628 Tehsils with approximately 185,000 Census blocks. Android-based smart devices with a home listing and enumeration application that is synced with GPS and GIS will be used to carry out the activity.
