NHA to upgrade Sialkot-Rawalpindi Motorway to six lanes

Punjab, July 15, 2024: The National Highway Authority (NHA) is upgrading the Sialkot-Rawalpindi motorway to a six-lane highway. This infrastructure development will reduce travel time and enhance connectivity between major cities.

Sialkot-Rawalpindi motorway is an important link in the country’s transportation network. Currently, it has four lanes, the extension will facilitate more vehicles and reduce traffic congestion by improving the flow.

The Chairman NHA, Mr Khurram Agha stated “Upgrading the Sialkot-Rawalpindi Motorway to six lanes is a strategic move to bolster our national infrastructure.

This project will enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and contribute to the economic development of the region.’

An extensive plan will be executed to extend the existing infrastructure and to apply a modern traffic management system. The government’s dedication to improving the infrastructure is worth the praise.

The citizens hope that the project will cause minimum inconvenience to people using the route for trading purposes.
