Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari stated that construction and repair work in Islamabad’s marketplaces will begin in phases. According to news published on June 5.
According to the details, the ICCI President met with the presidents of various markets. They discussed the continuing construction works of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in these markets. In the first phase, they revealed their plan to carry out the work in phases and selected several markets. These included G-9, Abpara Market, G-11, F-10, F-11, F-6, and Melody Market, for construction and restoration work.

Furthermore, the CDA has chosen five focal individuals to serve as points of contact for coordinating between the CDA and the relevant market representatives for construction and repair activities in Islamabad’s markets. President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, Founder Group Chairman Khalid Iqbal Malik, Former President Ijaz Abbasi, Anjuman Tajran President Ajmal Baloch, and Khalid Chaudhry are among the focal persons.
Bakhtawari thanked CDA Chairman Captain Noorul Amin Mengal on behalf of all of the business community in Islamabad. He noted that the CDA Chairman has addressed the long-standing issue of market construction works. Bakhtawari further emphasised the importance of a phased implementation. He strongly urged market presidents and officials to work with the Chamber and CDA to resolve this issue.
