ISLAMABAD: CDA Chairman ensures completion of ongoing development projects by June-July

Captain (R) Noorul Amin Mengal, CDA Chairman declared that ongoing development projects in Islamabad would finish in June and July this year.

Margalla Avenue, IJ Principal Road, and the Bara Kahu Bypass are among the projects plan to complete. The CDA chairman said during a news conference that CDA’s management would prioritize ensuring the high-quality growth of C sectors. Moreover, Mengal emphasized the value of public and national parks and other green spaces as federal capital assets.

The chairman announced that a Green Fund had been established to preserve Islamabad’s environmentally friendly culture. Every development project must set aside at least a fraction of its budget for this fund as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) responsibilities. Additionally, chairman states that CDA chooses 300 private schools to move to new plots at a 55% discount from the DC cost for a 10-year lease.

Building Control Inspectors’ authority also reduces in order to combat corruption. Instead, teams from the Building Control Wing will examine commercial and residential structures to approve building plans. Also, stop illegal construction activity. Each team will be led by an assistant director.

The amenities plots for graveyards, schools, playgrounds, etc. will transfer to the CDA to prevent societies from breaking layout plans.
