According to latest news, Dubai is implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in its airports to increase efficiency and boost air traffic management systems. The Integrated Air Traffic Control Suite contract is given to the Swedish aerospace producer Saab. The company is currently installing itself at Al Maktoum International Airport (Dubai World Central). Also installing at the Contingency Operations Centre, Emirates Flight Academy, and Dubai International Airport.

The AI-powered solution streamlines air traffic controllers’ tasks by combining key radar and flying data. It improves safety and minimises their workload by automating specific procedures. Within a year, Dubai hopes to complete the implementation. Additionally, it used cutting-edge AI to plan for possible incidents and control terminal traffic.

Saab’s Total Airport Management system has provided a comprehensive overview of airport resources. The manageent allowing for the effective allocation of staff and rapid responses to situations. Moreover, by keeping an eye on the airport’s airside, the technology quickly detects delays and alerts management to the need for additional employees. The airports in Dubai are operating more efficiently and providing a better overall passenger experience thanks to these technological improvements.
