Lahore:  A doctor who won 29 gold medals in MBBS receives Rs. 200,000 Award from Health Minister

Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik, who has won a record-breaking 29 gold medals throughout his medical career, receives Rs200,000 on Wednesday from Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel.

To receive a gold medal, a student must achieve at least 85% in a course or the highest marks during a semester.

In today’s ceremony, the minister emphasizes the value of doctors like Waleed as a national resource.

When discussing his academic experience, Waleed mentioned that while he initially struggled. And with time and constant effort, he was able to turn the situation around.

Waleed claims that after getting admission, he faced several challenges, but that his perseverance eventually worked successfully.

Notably, Dr. Waleed went viral on social media as netizens criticized Pakistani media. The media is trying to expose the country’s true potential.
