Punjab PDWP approves development schemes worth PKR 26 bn

Lahore, July 3, 2024: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has announced a development scheme worth 25 billion. This project would include the development in various sectors including education, healthcare, transportation, and water management.

PDWP, in its latest session, expressed its commitment to boosting infrastructure and improving the living standards of the masses. A substantial portion of the budget is allocated for constructing and repairing highways and roads. The purpose is to lessen the travelling time and enhance the connectivity across Punjab.

Chief Minister Punjab has expressed optimism toward the approval of the sanction, highlighting their potential to transform the socio-economic landscape of the province. Moreover, this is expected to facilitate trade and commerce while booming the regional economy.

Education and Health care sectors will receive long-awaited attention. Hopefully, these initiatives will improve the general public access to essential services equally in rural and urban areas. Water management projects are another key component of the project to ensure water safety, mitigate the impact of climate change, and support agricultural productivity.
