According to a news source, the Capital Development Authority Development Working Party (CDA-DWP) Approves PC-1 of Baghe-e-Dastoor and other new bazaars in Islamabad.

CDA-DWP Approves Construction of New Bazaars

According to the information, CDA has approved the establishment of 5 new bazaars, including 5 Sasta Bazaars. It also gave its approval to the construction of Bagh-e-Dastoor. The PC-I has approved a budget of PKR 734 million for the construction of 5 new Sasta Bazaars. These will provide affordable food commodities. Tarnol Chowk, Sector H-11, Margalla Town Phase-II, Model Town Hummak, and Sector I-14 will all have bazaars. This would happen within the next 2 years.

Baghe-e-Dastoor Project Gets PC-I Approval

Furthermore, the PC-I for the Bagh-e-Dastoor project on Constitution Avenue has been accepted. This park will be dedicated to boosting constitutional awareness and will be developed on 32 kanals at a cost of PKR 81 million. It will have beautiful Pergolas, walkways, sit-outs, and canopies.

The CDA-DWP granted a PC-I of PKR 40 million to perform a feasibility study for 2 proposed dams in Shahdara and Chiniot. This is a crucial step towards easing the city’s water scarcity. Moreover this 6-month project will entail a thorough examination of geological causes, sedimentation, hydrology and socioeconomic concerns.

In addition, the CDA-DWP approved a PKR 19 million feasibility study to investigate the possibility of recharging groundwater in Islamabad. The purpose of this research is to determine the viability of refilling the city’s groundwater resources.

Construction of Permanent Waste Transfer Station

The DWP approved the construction of a permanent Waste Transfer Station at the Sewerage Treatment Plant in I-9/1. This is to address the waste management challenges. This station, with a budget of PKR 532 million, will streamline waste transportation operations. Done by replacing the temporary facility that is now in use.
