LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Hamza Shahbaz, announced that the provincial government will offer an electricity relief-package by bearing the power cost of households that consumed up to 100 units of electricity per month in the last six months.
While addressing a press conference in Lahore, Hamza Shahbaz stated that the government has set aside Rs.100 billion for the relief package and will also provide solar panels to the people in need. He further added that this program is set to benefit at least nine million households.
The Chief Minister assured that the economic situation of the country will be back on track as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program will continue to persist and international donors will continue to help Pakistan. Moreover, he told the media that the government aims to work day and night to improve the economic crisis in Pakistan and pave a path towards progress.
