MoU signed for an Inclusive Business Development Park

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) and the Ministry of Planning and Development signed a milestone Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU signed for an Inclusive Business Development Park in Peshawar aims to boost economic growth and empower local businesses. The MoU, which was signed on May 31, establishes a strategic partnership between the KPEZDMC and the Ministry of Planning and Development. This strategic partnership has the aim to transform Peshawar business environment by enhancing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Imran Zahoor, director of KPEC, and Javed Khattak, chief of KPEZDMC, signed the MoU. The agreement includes opening a business park in Peshawar, starting with Hayatabad Economic Zone. The program aims for gender inclusivity, promoting businesses by all genders and people with disabilities.

Furthermore, a management committee will be established to administer the operations of the IBDP. Additionally, to foster the growth of home-based enterprises and cultivate a sustainable and inclusive economy, the business park will place a strong emphasis on these objectives. Moreover, the Business Development Park in Peshawar will actively promote business networks. It will also facilitate the creation of knowledge, raise awareness, explore opportunities, and provide collaborative venues for businesses.
