The repair and redesigning of Thokar Niaz Baig junction will provide convenience to commuters traveling between the motorway and Multan Road. During the site visit, LDA Chief Engineer Asrar Saeed presented the proposed design to LDA DG Mr Tahir Farooq. Some other NESPAK officials were also along.
The project will soon commence by focusing on the repair process of key entry and exit points in the initial stages. Later, the asphalt resurfacing, installation of new signage, lane marking, and additional aesthetic efforts will be done.
Moreover, the redesign process also includes widening footpaths to facilitate pedestrians. Overall, the completion of the project will ease traffic congestion and smooth the flow for public convenience. The DG LDA also visited the One Window Cell to see the application process progress within the last 24 hours. However, he was unhappy with the delays. He notified the housing directors to be physically present at the One Window Cell during the designated working hours. He strictly said that such inefficiencies would not be tolerated.
