GDA Intensifies Crackdown on Unauthorized Housing Schemes

The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has intensified its efforts to crack down on unauthorized housing schemes operating in the port city, as reported in a news article dated November 8.

According to the news reported on Tuesday, GDA officials declared their commitment to taking resolute action against the land mafia involved in illicit activities within the city. In response to public complaints, a crackdown has initiated in Dhor Ghati and other localities.

Under the guidance of Director-General Dawood Khilji, the authority is issuing legal notices to the proprietors of these unlawful housing schemes. Moreover, the district administration has instructed to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) against the violators. The district administration also mandated to cease of land mutation for properties lacking approval from the authority.

To ensure transparency and safeguard the public, the GDA has published a list of legitimate housing schemes on its official website. The public is strongly encouraging to verify the authenticity of any schemes. This consults the authorities before engaging in agreements with scheme owners.

Also, the list on the authority’s website is regularly updated. The comprises schemes that have obtained the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC) and have complied with all GDA regulations.

Furthermore, GDA officials urge the public to promptly report any housing schemes operating in Gwadar. The Gwadar do not possess the necessary NOC and have failed to adhere to the prescribed procedures.
